Lupin, like the chair

--

Spoilers Ahead…

I am in a bus,
There’s only one seat
Next to a woman, so I greet…
Nice to meet you, and how’s your day;
A bit of chitchat, that old dismay.
The weather, the scenes…
That murder at the bay;
The usual conversation you have at midday.

The murder it seems was of a lady,
Mid-aged, mother of two;
Her clothes were arranged neatly on the shore;
Wine stained dress, atop her shoes,

She had an affair with a wealthy man,
Spied on him too;
Everyone thought that’s why she was slain.
Ended up being killed by her neighbor:
Slender, tall, and insane.
She went to him after her husband beat her,
Shoved her, imposing his reign;
She fought back, she endured the pain.

Having bled, embarrassed and ashamed;
She thought, my neighbor wouldn’t need me to explain.
Tried to leave, he pleaded, please remain,
Told her who he was,
Expressed his love,
She disdained…

A blow to the head, and she was gone.
Buried with a bouquet of tulips and found at dawn…
